Should I replace 7 year old tyres?
There is no definitive tyre age limit as to when you should replace your tyres but once your tyres reach 7-10 years old, you should keep a close eye on their condition and consider replacing them. Tyre ageing is commonly identified by small cracks, known as crazing, which appear in the tyre sidewall. All-season tyres last typically between 40,000 to 80,000 miles, however, their lifespan can vary depending on several factors. Driving habits play a big role as rapid acceleration or hard braking can cause the tyres to wear faster. The road conditions, if they are uneven, may cause faster wear also.
