Is mycar still owned by Kmart?
Originally known as Kmart Tyre & Auto, the chain has been run since 2018 by Continental, which bought the business from Wesfarmers in a deal valued at $350 million, $50 million more than expectations. After the sale was finalised, the company was rebranded as mycar. The German manufacturing giant Continental AG purchased the chain in 2018 and undertook a complete rebrand from Kmart Tyre and Auto to Mycar. In many ways, it was simply a change of brand; the promise to deliver customer service at the highest level remained strong.
