Are 6 ply ATV tires good?
Heavy ATVs, Side-by-Sides and UTVs often use 6- or 8-ply tires because of their excellent puncture resistance. For most off-road tires, four- or six-ply is standard but eight-ply tires are great for tough, rocky terrain. Additionally, if you want to get real technical, there are two types of ply: bias and radial.
Can I put bigger tires on my ATV?
If your atv is under 500cc, it’s recommended that you only go up one tire size without modifications. Atv’s that are over 500cc can sometimes handle a tire that is two sizes larger than stock. Standard atv tire sizes the width is different for the front and the back. The rear wheels are usually two inches wider than the front. The wheel diameter measures from the top of the wheel to the bottom. Most atvs have 10- to 12-inch wheels.
