Are 18 inch wheels better?
Mechanics typically suggest 18-inch wheels for daily comfort, better tire value, and pothole protection, while 20-inch wheels offer sharper turn-in response and bold styling. The thinner sidewalls on 20-inch setups provide less cushioning between the rim and road hazards. Over the course of time, the 17 tires will save a couple of hundred bucks on every new set, initial wheel cost was also almost $100/wheel lower. Also, I don’t like 18 on these cars.
