Which is correct, tire or tyre?

Can you fix a blown tyre?
Punctures are usually repairable, but as a general rule, we replace any tyres where the damage is outside the tread area. We will also replace the tyre if the puncture is wider than 6mm, which can be caused by a larger object or multiple punctures close together, weakening the tyre. A flat tyre requires you to stop immediately to assess the extent of the damage and decide what to do. You can either replace the damaged tyre where you are or call roadside assistance, but you should never continue driving with a flat tyre.
