Originally known as Kmart Tyre & Auto, the chain has been run since 2018 by Continental, which bought the business from Wesfarmers in a deal valued at $350 million, $50 million more than expectations. After the sale was finalised, the company was rebranded as mycar. We’ve been around since 1969, as part of the Wesfarmers group of companies, and operated as Kmart Tyre & Auto Service until 2019, when we rebranded to mycar following the sale to Continental A. G.Continental Aktiengesellschaft (AG), a multinational company with headquarters in Hanover, Germany. In previous years, sustainability management and policies, supply chains and actions of all Australian subsidiaries of Continental AG were reported in a joint statement.
